Give your Muse agent its own inbox

AgentMail gives your Muse agent a real email address it owns. Muse sends from it, gets replies at it, and runs errands as itself, while your Gmail stays yours.

[ Install ]
  1. 1

Tell Muse what you want. Send this in your main chat. Muse replies with a plan.

    Copy

Get yourself an AgentMail email address.

  2. 2

Create an API key. In the AgentMail console, create an API key named Muse and copy it.

  3. 3

Paste the key into the Secrets tab. Muse opens the tab for you. Paste it there, not into the chat.

  4. 4

Approve the connection. Muse's request to share information with AgentMail appears in the approval section on the right of the app. Approve it there. Grant a standing permission for the site if you don't want to approve every call.

  5. 5

Confirm it works. Muse creates an inbox. Ask it to email your personal address.

[ Why email ]

Why your Muse needs its own inbox

An address, not a borrowed inbox

The Gmail and Outlook connectors let Muse read and send as you. AgentMail gives Muse an identity of its own, so businesses can reply to Muse and you can CC it on a thread.

Signups where Meta filters codes

Muse’s email connector strips verification codes, reset links, and magic links from your inbox on purpose, so the agent can’t act as you across other sites. An inbox Muse owns is where its own codes can land.

Your Gmail stays out of it

Quote requests, vendor chases, and signups run from Muse’s address. If one goes wrong, delete that inbox. Your personal mail and reputation are untouched.

[ Code ]

Working prompt

Copy this into your Muse main chat after setup:

Muse creates the inbox, sends the email, and reports the address. Reply from your inbox and ask Muse to check.

[ Recipes ]

Recipes

Copy any prompt into your Muse main chat, or into a side chat for that job. Muse will ask for approval where your permission settings require it.

Signups

Sign up as itself

Muse creates accounts under its own address and reads its own verification codes.

System Prompt

Prompt

Create an REI account using your errands inbox so you can watch the price on the tent I sent you. When the verification email arrives, read it and finish signup. Tell me when the account is ready.

What happens

the code lands in Muse’s inbox, not yours.

Outreach

Get quotes

Outreach that doesn’t come from your personal address.

System Prompt

Prompt

From a new inbox called move, email five local moving companies for a quote on a two-bedroom apartment move on October 18. Track every reply. When three have answered, compare price, date availability, and insurance, and send me the best two.

What happens

replies go to Muse’s move inbox and stay in one thread history per company.

Outreach

Sell the car

Buyers and dealers email Muse, not you.

System Prompt

Prompt

Create an inbox called car-sale. Use it as the contact email on my listing. Answer buyer questions from the details I gave you, screen out lowball offers under $14,000, and bring me anyone ready to schedule a test drive.

What happens

your personal address never touches a listing site or a dealer’s CRM.

Productivity

Forward it, don’t connect it

For anyone who won’t connect Gmail to Muse.

System Prompt

Prompt

I’ll forward you emails at your errands address when I need help. For each one, tell me what it’s asking, what’s due and when, and draft what I should do. Don’t read anything I didn’t send you.

What happens

Muse works only from what you forward. No inbox access.

Errands

Chase a refund or return

The customer-service follow-up you’ve been putting off.

System Prompt

Prompt

I’m forwarding you my order confirmation. Email the store’s support address from your errands inbox, ask for a return label for the jacket, and follow up every two days until they reply. Send me the label when it arrives.

What happens

the back-and-forth lives in Muse’s inbox until there’s something for you to do.

Errands

Restaurant special request

Muse emails the venue so you don’t have to.

System Prompt

Prompt

Email the event contact at the restaurant I booked for Saturday. Ask whether they can do a nut-free dessert for one guest and seat us away from the kitchen. Tell me what they say.

What happens

Muse sends from its own address and reports back.

Productivity

One inbox per side chat

Give each long-running job its own address.

System Prompt

Prompt

For my wedding side chat, create an inbox called wedding-vendors. Use it for every vendor we contact. Once a week, send me a summary of open questions, deposits due, and who hasn’t replied.

What happens

vendor mail for the wedding never mixes with your inbox or Muse’s other jobs.

Productivity

CC Muse on a thread

Loop your agent in like a colleague.

System Prompt

Prompt

When someone CCs your errands address on a thread, read the full history, work out what’s being asked of me, and message me a one-line summary with a suggested reply. Don’t reply on the thread unless I approve.

What happens

Muse follows the thread without access to the rest of your mail.

Productivity

Deal and alert sink

Promo mail goes to Muse, not you.

System Prompt

Prompt

Create an inbox called deals. Use it to sign up for price alerts on the three items on my wishlist. Only message me when one drops more than 20%.

What happens

your inbox stays clean; Muse filters.
