An address, not a borrowed inbox

The Gmail and Outlook connectors let Muse read and send as you. AgentMail gives Muse an identity of its own, so businesses can reply to Muse and you can CC it on a thread.

Signups where Meta filters codes

Muse’s email connector strips verification codes, reset links, and magic links from your inbox on purpose, so the agent can’t act as you across other sites. An inbox Muse owns is where its own codes can land.

Your Gmail stays out of it

Quote requests, vendor chases, and signups run from Muse’s address. If one goes wrong, delete that inbox. Your personal mail and reputation are untouched.

Not a built-in one yet. Muse can build connectors for services with an API, and AgentMail has one. Tell Muse "Get yourself an AgentMail email address" and it handles the rest after you supply a key.

Create an API key named "Muse" in the AgentMail console, paste it into the Secrets tab Muse opens, and approve the connection. Muse creates an inbox on agentmail.to. Ask for a specific name and it uses that name if available.

No. Keep the connector if you want Muse to search and triage your own mail. AgentMail is for the address Muse owns: outreach, signups, forwarded errands, and threads people CC it on.

Meta’s email connector filters out verification codes, password reset links, and magic links, so Muse can’t use your inbox to act as you on other sites. That protects every account tied to your email. A separate inbox gives Muse somewhere to receive its own codes without weakening that protection.

No. Google’s account policy prohibits using bots to create accounts, and agent-created Gmail accounts have been disabled within days. AgentMail inboxes are made to be created by software.

The key goes in the Secrets tab, not the chat. Muse stores secrets in its secure credential store, which Meta designed so the agent works with a stand-in token rather than the real credential.
