Summary
message.received for an email with a calendar invitation now arrives with calendar_event_id already set, so your agent can answer the invitation straight from the webhook instead of fetching the message again.
What’s new?
- Invitation emails wait for their event: for an email with a calendar attachment,
message.received(webhook and WebSocket) waits until the invitation has been added to the inbox’s calendar, at most 20 seconds, and the message carriescalendar_event_id. - Other email is unchanged: only emails with a calendar attachment wait, typically a second or two.
- No
calendar_event_idmeans the invitation wasn’t added: a reply or cancellation for an event the calendar doesn’t have, a sender that couldn’t be verified as the organizer, or a slow import. Get the message again later to check.
Answer an invitation with Respond to Event using the message’s calendar_event_id. See Invitations.
